Universo Sonae is a financial institution leader in the issuance of credit cards in Portugal (“Cartão Universo”) with more than 1 million customers. It has the goal of disrupting the banking industry in Portugal by innovating in the arena of consumer payments, credit and insurance.

We are hiring a Junior Product Manager to integrate the business unit responsible for managing the personal loans and insurance product lines of Universo Sonae. The Junior Product manager will support the senior product manager in its commercial, analytical, research and project management activities.

The Junior Product Manager is expected to:

• Track product performance (sales, income, churn, …)
• Promptly react to changes in commercial or operational performance
• Review and improve processes related to sales, operations and customer service
• Conduct analysis in relation to market context and competition
• Implement customer research techniques to understand customer demands
• Support the senior product manager in the project management activities
• Contribute to the product design and product roadmap

A good candidate is expected to have:

• Excellent academic track record in Management, Economics or Engineering
• Minimum experience of 2 years in banking, consulting, auditing, e-commerce or digital industries
• Excellent analytical skills
• Good planning skills
• Ability to deal with complexity and ambiguity
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Curiosity and openness to understand the customer
• Technology and business awareness
